Hey guys, time for another sitrep. Just finished the second last major scene for EP10. 276 renders including 7 animations. One more major scene to go after this, and a couple of smaller closing scenes. Here's the current break down of EP10's progress:

This one is a Jem! I was pleasantly surprised by the writing quality. It really is excellent work, and each character has a unique voice, and they all feel authentic! As a writer, I know how challenging that can be. Kudos.

Trying to find out early but is this a game where you just end up with all the girls or do the choices have enough weight that you need to be careful if you have a favorite girl you wish to romance? In short is this a harem game where you get everyone or is the goal to pick a particular girl you wish to romance?
It's very well written, with lots of interaction between the characters. Not just jealousy, but protectiveness, ambition, insecurity, real character development, etc. To be honest there is not a lot of sex compared to many VNs like this. But it is well worth the price.
DO NOT GO THE PATREON. The Developer tells you what scenes he's working on and tells you. It is so spoiler full I would say just be happy episode 10 is being worked on!
Not dead but very sleepy. The Dev's own posted workrate has it taking at least another 3-6 months, but the stated completion and remaining work looks to me more like the same to do again as has been done since April 2022. So realistically I doubt we will see anything before Halloween.
The guy takes an absolute age to produce each update. It's worth the wait, but the wait each time can be interminable. I find I almost have to go back and replay the game to remember what stage parts of the plot have reached.
This is a really desperate shame because the story and the characters, especially their personalities, interactions and their reactions to circumstance are second to none and make for a very special, amazingly engrossing and immersive experience.
Make no mistake, this is a really standout AVN. Though cruelly unheralded, in my opinion, this is right up there alongside the very best in the genre, but you have to have a tremendous amount of patience. In and of itself, Halfway House, aside from the long "intermissions" is absolutely worth every single penny.
Only the AVN genre. It's like a back-street market with lots of dodgy gear. For example, beware of AVNs saying 1.0.2, or 1.0.5 or even 1.1.0 befcause it DOES NOT mean a finished game, like in every other games genre!
This is one of amazing games i have played, the story and character lines are well thought.. the scenes and arts are BEAUTIFUL ~! ABSOLUTELY 99999/10! .. wish for more awesome content in next updates, i totally recommend the game
Imo you should allow people who finish the game to unlock the gallery. I really don't want to take 1 hour per episode to get the perfect choices. It also makes the game less personal.
This game would be a 4.5 star with a way to unlock the gallery once we finished the game once but is a 3.5 atm. (I missed some scenes and i don't want to replay it again so I'm frustrated)

If I could rate it higher than 5 I would've. This game has probably the best narrative I've ever experienced in an adult visual novel. The characters are actually believable and don't just serve as cheap porn, they have depth to them and feel like they exist outside of yourself. It feels like you're a PART of the world, rather than being the centre of it. The renders are jaw-droppingly insane to look at, and the NSFW scenes are INCREDIBLE. I can't wait to see what else becomes of this game, having played through the numerous hours of content already available multiple times.
Even if I am the only one who paid for it, I still resent the games always being described as "free on Itch". Free is an OPTION. It is not a "free game"!!!! So I have every right to ask why there has been no developer's notes since April 2022, 10 monhs ago, let alone no update to the game! AVNs that end up doing well, sales wise, are those that have developers keeping their customers updated regularly. The Love of Magic dev did that, and now he's on Steam selling 1,000s and 1,000s of copies! Devs that don't care, have games that don't sell....
if you choose to support that's on you, choosing to support when its OPTIONAL doesn't give anyone the right to demand updates, if it was a paid-only game then it's understandable don't you think the dev is leaving it free for now because he knows he won't be able to make consistent updates?

Try selecting the file and clicking the three dots in the top right hand corner. Then click open with package installer. Idk if this will help I haven't installed this particular game yet, but it helped me with other apks.

And Manster1775 didn't give any date for an update, just the dev saying, in so many words, he's taking even longer to milk his Patron customers even more.
customers ? On Itch that’s a bit of a stretch the game is given to us for FREE. We don’t have the same right to complain as opposed to people actually paying for the product. Always remember patience is a virtue .
And need help again I left the game in the background and after a few hours I came back to the game but I can't touch anything I can only back using my back button the phone I try every even re installed the game but I can't click anything or do anything I have this problem on phone. Even I remove the saves and I went to log the last thing it says "Entered Background" just don't know what to do now

Replaying to unlock the gallery is easy, just use the ctrl button to breeze through seen text.
i'm on android so it takes quite long to skip the text.

i successfully downloaded the apk file on my Android but I can't install it. the file will say installing for a few seconds then nothing.
